The illustration was created for a moving panorama to accompany a puppet show. It depicts the story of "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod," an 1889 poem by Eugene Field. The poem was reimagined and set in REO Town. It is centered on the iconic Lansing Board of Water & Light Eckert Power Plant smokestacks. Like the poem, it takes us on a journey. Visitors are transported by a wooden shoe through the night sky, swim with fish in the Grand River, and end their dream nestled between Boji Tower and the Capitol.
